We are more than troubled to hear of allegations surfacing today of hiring practices that include discrimination and classroom indoctrination right here in the 4th District at Cos Cob Elementary. Parents throughout our region have been expressing concerns that such illegal, biased practices may be happening in our schools. Today a video surfaced and appears to show compelling evidence of Title VII Civil Rights violations in Greenwich Public Schools.

My husband and I consider ourselves lucky to have raised our five children in this district. As a mother, I understand the challenges we parents face when it comes to being an active participant in our children’s education. I attended the Press Conference at Cos Cob Elementary school because we need to unite as parents and have OPEN, HONEST discussions within our communities. 

I’m running for Congress to lend my personal and professional experiences and to be unafraid to speak up, talk TRUTH and to join with families to FACE these deeply rooted problems in our schools and other challenges facing America today. We cannot turn away from difficult issues or our silence becomes tolerance. Our children deserve better. 

Families in the 4th District need a leader in Congress to protect our children by protecting the rights of parents. I will be your champion for all Connecticut families. When I am your next Congresswoman, I will ensure the federal government uses its power to protect the civil rights of all Americans.
